The Devil’s Patsy: El Paso Walmart Shooter Blames Mass Shooting On Demonic Forces, Back On Suicide Prevention Watch

“Just shut up. Leave me alone. I’m not doing that again.”

                – El Paso Walmart shooter on Demons asking him to kill again

Patrick Wood Crusius, the white supremacist convicted of murdering dozens of people at an El Paso Walmart, commonly drifts in and out of sanity during the wee hours of the night. According to him, during these hours-long rants, it’s the demons he’s screaming at who suggest his job isn’t finished. They need him to kill again, but this time he won’t listen. “I won’t kill for you again, demons” he ranted.

These episodes get so burdensome sometimes, a prisoner that is normally dormant screamed back at him, hoping he’ll shut up. “I’m a patsy, like my name Patrick. I swear.” he responded.

While at a guard-monitored private meeting with mental health staff on August 20 2025, guards entered his cell and removed his TV, mattress, bedding, clothing and personal property. After the meeting, he was placed back into an empty cell and given a green nylon smock to wear. Which he tossed, preferring to let the male guard monitoring him, observe him naked.

Why he was placed on suicide prevention watch, or what he told mental health staff, is unknown. But there’s an obvious pattern of him having these episodes and being confronted by mental health staff soon after.

This is the second time this year Crusius has been placed on suicide prevention watch. The first came during his first week here (Powledge Unit) when he suggested that the reason he opened fire in the Walmart was because Donald Trump’s first term ‘build the wall’ border policies inspired him, but weren’t effective. He felt it was his duty to take charge.

Having to experience this leads me to believe one thing: one family’s justice is the start of another society’s problem.
